Michael Y McCormick began his practice in 1985 after graduating law school from the University of Kansas.

Mike is licensed in Kansas, Missouri and Texas, and admitted to practice in several federal courts across the country, Mike regularly teaches classes on a wide variety of legal topics including tort reform, risk management, negotiation, indemnity and insurance law and regularly speaks on business topics such as network marketing and owning and operating a small business.
Mike is an AV rated attorney which is the highest possible peer review rating available for legal ability and ethical standards, and is a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation in recognition of outstanding professional ability and notable contributions to the administration of justice.

Mike is listed in Who's Who Among American Legal Professionals and has tried cases throughout Texas and the United States. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Texas, Missouri and Kansas Bar Associations and several other professional organizations.

Mike has served on a number of Boards of Directors of both for profit and not for profit corporations and devotes significant energies to charities including The Miracle League (an organization to build baseball fields for handicapped children so that they may participate in America's past time just like their able-bodied peers), The City Wide Club (which assists in feeding the homeless of Houston and providing toys at Christmas for the underprivileged children of Houston) and the M.O.R.E Project (which seeks to change lives of kids and restore families living in poverty in Brazil).
